My Picks For Fall/Winter 2012 : High End Lipsticks

Welcome back to my Fall/Winter picks for 2012. 

Since I already did a post on my favorite MAC lipsticks, I thought you might be interested in seeing my High End lipstick picks for this year's colder months. 

So, let's get started!

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine

Beautiful "your lips but better" shade with a slight silvery sheen

I'm absolutely loving these Velvet Matte Lip Pencils at the moment. They have an amazing shade range, the formula is not drying, they're super long lasting, easy to apply because of the pencil shape...Basically, what I'm trying to say is that everyone should own at least one of these :)

Chanel Rouge Coco in Culte N° 42

Deep rosewood-plum creme

Beautiful color and hydrating formula but unfortunately, they're not as long lasting as I wished they would be. Bare in mind that you'll need to reapply your lipstick several times throughout the day...

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Never Say Never

Stunning Raspberry-plum with slight shimmer (not really noticeable)

Definitely my must-have lip product for Fall and Winter! I've been wearing this pencil constantly...

Burberry Lip Velvet in Rose Pink N°307

Pink based Red with velvety matte finish

To this day, Burberry is - in my opinion - the most impressive beauty brand on the market...Every single product feels and looks luxurious! These lipsticks have the best texture: they're not drying, quite long lasting and fade beautifully into a "just bitten" stain.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Voluptuous Violet N°16

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Unique N°51

Sheer but buildable raspberry red with golden shimmer

I'm not really sure how I feel about the Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks...the formula is quite wet, which means that you constantly need to reapply it...they're not as moisturizing as you would expect them to be...However, I absolutely love their color range.

I've probably said this about 1 mio times but I truly adore these pencils!!!!

Stila Stay All Day Lipstick in Aria

Beautiful deep burbgundy

As you can probably tell by now, I'm a huge sucker for matte lipsticks in the colder months...However, this particular lip product is rather peculiar. It looks pretty light in the tube but once it sets on your lips (it stays put throughout the whole day), it turns 3-4 shades darker.

If you can, I'd recommend trying them out before buying them because the color in the tube is truly misleading. In addition, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this lipstick for people with dry lips. As you can see from the picture below, the product settles into all the fine lines, which is not really flattering.
