I've been trying to draft this post for weeks now. This might sound insane but with all the studying, I didn't really have the time to finish it off and upload it...Shame on me!
Before I begin what is probably a never-ending haul, I'd like to cease the opportunity and promote my newly created INSTAGRAM and TWITTER accounts :)
I'd love to share and interact more with you guys, so if you'd like to know more about my crazy makeup addiction, please follow my accounts :) That would make me the happiest girl in the world ;)
I kind of feel the need to put a little disclaimer at the beginning of this post:
I did not buy all these items at once. No, I am not Scrooge McDuck. As the title says, this is a collective haul featuring products that I got for Christmas and items I bought myself throughout December and January.
Thanks for your attention ;)
Let's begin with
MAC
Clear Brow Gel
I would not recommend this product...I felt like there was hardly any product on the wand and consequently, it didn't fix my brows at all. I went back to using my Make Up For Ever Brow Seal, which in my opinion, is the best clear brow gel out there.
MSF in Stereo Rose
I've heard sooo many good things about this blusher/highlighter but unfortunately, I feel like it doesn't really suit my complexion :(
It's a bit too reddy-brown for my taste but that doesn't mean it's a bad product. On the contrary, MAC MSF's are absolutely stunning!
The only way I can make this work is by applying Dior's Rosy Glow on the apples of my cheeks...
MSF Porcelain Pink
This is probably the prettiest highlighter I've ever seen! Since it has the traditional MAC MSF formula, it leaves a beautiful natural looking glow on the skin, without it looking too glittery or frosted.
In my opinion, this product would be best suited for cooler skin tones but then again, it all depends on your personal preference I suppose :)
MAC Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm in Rosy Romance
I didn't think I would actually like this lip balm because it does feel a little bit sticky on the lips but now that I've been testing it for a few weeks, I must say that I'm absolutely loving the formula. It does feel a bit sticky when you apply it but on the other hand it's super moisturizing and the longevity is impressive!
The only downside to this product is the color :( It's just a plain berry-plum and the golden shimmer is not noticeable on the lips. In addition, the color does wear off rather fast, which is weird because even when the color has worn off, the balm keeps moisturizing your lips...does that even make sense? I hope so ;)
All in all, it's still a brilliant product that I would definitely repurchase!
Rebel and Diva
(From L - R: Bruberry Lip Glow in Bright Plum - Rebel - Diva)
I've worn Rebel a few times now and I'm sold! It's the most stunning and bold fuchsia-plum I've ever seen! Plus, the formula is amazing! It's not drying, long-lasting and leaves a beautiful stain behind when it wears off! Love Love Love!!!
I haven't tried Diva yet but I would recommend checking it out if you're looking for a deep burgundy red.
MAC Eye Kohl in Powersurge
I cannot wait to create a look with this pencil! Never seen anything like this deep antique gold...an absolute beauty!!!
Burberry
I finally caved and bought the new(ish) Burberry Velvet Foundation in Tech 202. I've only worn this foundation twice so I haven't really made up my mind yet. The color match is impeccable but I find it a little hard to blend...A proper review will be uploaded soon (I have a huge foundation review and comparison coming up including Chanel, YSL, Dior, Nars, etc.)!
In addition, since I've read so many rave reviews on the Burberry Lip Glow's, I also decided to give those a try. As you probably know, I'm not a big fan of glosses but this Lip Glow in Bright Plum totally won me over! In fact, the texture is similar to a liquid lipstick, meaning it is not sticky, lasts a long time, hydrates your lips and leaves a beautiful stain once it wears off. I'm definitely going to add a few more shades to my wish list!
(Swatch on the picture above)
Illamasqua
Illamasqua Blush in Naked Rose
Beautiful neutral pink blush with a satin finish that gives the illusion of a natural flush. A little bit goes a long way so be careful and use a light hand.
Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in N°01 and N°02
I don't think this product is worth the hype...Besides the fact that the shade 02 is waaaaaay to light for my skin tone, I found the foundation really heavy and hard to blend. It went all patchy, looked cakey and the coverage was not that impressive...Unfortunately, I'm not a fan!
I also bought the white Skin Base to mix in with foundations that are a little bit too dark for my complexion. I haven't used it yet but I will do a proper review as soon as I've tried it.
Sephora
Chanel Perfection Lumière
Beautiful satin/matte finish foundation!! Even though it gives a medium coverage, it feels and looks like skin. I'm not going more into detail because this foundation will also be included in my upcoming foundation review :)
Dior Crème de Rose Lip Balm
Just another ordinary lip balm...Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad lip conditioner but it's pretty standard and considering the hefty price tag, I don't think it's a must have product.
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
Defined bottom lashes without smudging! Amazing product but definitely more of a splurge product since it costs 15€!!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel in Graphite
LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!! I've been grabbing for this nearly every day because it defines your brows in a very natural way and makes sure they stay in place all day long. You can also use it on top of a brow pencil for even more definition and thickness.
YSL Effet Faux Cils in N°1 Noir
A good friend of mine gave me this mascara on my birthday because she knows I've been eying it for a while but I could never justify spending so much money on a mascara lol I'm weird like that ;)
It needs a few more coats than my trusty L'Oréal False Lash Telescopic but it's the best High End mascara I've tried so far. If you're willing to splurge on mascara, I'd definitely recommend checking out the YSL counter!
Urban Decay Sin
THE best everyday/all-over-the-lid color ever!
I usually pat this on the inner 2/3 of my lids and smoke it out with Satin Taupe or Sketch in the outer corner. Smudged liner along the upper lash line and there you have your daytime appropriate soft smokey eye!!
This shadow has become an integral part of my holy grail products and that's why I decided to splurge and buy the individual pot. YES, that's how much I love it ;)
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in n°39 Smoky Topaz
I got this little baby in the sales section for 30% off! WOHOO!
The texture is pretty sheer but the color is absolutely gorgeous! I will probably use it as a sheer wash of color all over the lid or as a base for taupe/brown eyeshadows.
I hope you didn't find the post too long and boring :)
Thanks for reading <3

So many pretties! Porceline pink looks really nice.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous haul!! I kept uhming and ahhing over Porcelain Pink, I always do when it is repromoted. Yet to take the plunge though but agreed it is best for pale/cool skintones without a doubt. I love skin base foundation on asian and black skins, but I own shade 02 and agree it can go a bit patchy, I have a real on off relationship with it! Naked Rose is my go-to blush at the moment! :) xx
ReplyDeleteMake up heaven! :) 'Sin' is my HG eyeshadow too, I might pick up the single pot too instead of carting my naked palette everywhere. The Burberry gloss is such a gorgeous colour.

Great haul rebel is a colour I want to try next in lipsticks :)
ReplyDeleteGreat haul! I'm trying my best not to buy ANY makeup for the ENTIRE year, so seeing amazing hauls make me feel a little better somehow.
ReplyDeleteGah! So many beautiful things! Great haul!
ReplyDeleteHumongous and epic haul!! You really did have great purchases! I'm so tempted to try that Burberry velvet foundation. Adore their sheer luminous formula. What's your skin tone?
ReplyDeleteSo many nice things!
ReplyDeleteStereo Rose is such a pretty colour <3 I really need to get one of those baby's <3
I'll looking forward to see review's about the foudations!
Kisuu*
everything is beautiful!!I also bought myself as a gift porcelain pink and perfection lumiere and I'm in love!!!I agree with you stereo rose is so beautiful but too orange for my pale skin :( also rebel is one of my favourite fall lippies and I can't find diva anytime that I go to my local mac.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on Stereo Rose. It looks dirt all on its own. But I suppose MSF are meant to be topped on blushes? That's how I see them though. I find it strange that people go crazy over it though. Ahh I wanted to get Porcelain Pink but I passed since i rarely reach for my MSFs that I have already. I have been wanting to try Naked Rose since everyone who owns it loves it! Great picks.
ReplyDeletethis is the most perfect haul I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteLoved this post! Thx for sharing!! :)
ReplyDeleteNice stuff!!! Since when is Bobbi Brown available at Sephora? O.o Did I miss something? WHERE?
ReplyDeleteYour blog is a new discovery to me and I love it!!! Looking forward to your Perfection Lumiere review:) xx
