Disclaimer: This is probably going to be my last post for the month of June. I'm currently super busy with finishing off my thesis and preparing for written exams...I won't be able to update my blog before July :( I'm really sorry and I hope you'll bear with me for another month.
Enough with the jibber jabber.
Let's get started with the review :)
I purchased the Diorskin Nude BB Creme in Light 001 a few months ago and have been testing it ever since. I think it's safe to say that I will probably never find a way to make it work...
What it claims to do:
"A BB cream with SPF 10 that moisturizes, smooths, protects, and corrects.
Diorskin Nude BB Crème provides the benefits of skincare and makeup in a fresh and airy formula. Enhanced with mineralized floral water and a blend of antioxidants, it moisturizes, smooths, protects, and corrects skin with sheer coverage. Available in expert shades to match every skintone, the complexion is illuminated with a unique fresh glow and dewy finish."
What it actually does on me:
Nothing really. Although I really like the texture and the blendibility (blendebility? blendability? Is that even a word or have I just made that up?) of this BB cream, I do not like the fact that you have to use a few pumps to get a decent amount of coverage. As you all know, I'm not a fan of heavy duty coverage foundations but this one is just too lightweight, even for my taste! I found myself using 2-3 pumps of product just to even out my skin tone, which is a complete waste of product!
Furthermore, it didn't really feel moisturizing on my skin, nor did it correct any of my imperfections (redness and/or blemishes). I also find the name quite misleading since it's neither glowy, nor dewy. It actually sets rather matte.
However, the worst part is undoubtedly its complete lack of staying-power. I tried using primer underneath, setting it with powder and fixing spray but nothing could stop the BB cream from - literally - sliding off my face throughout the day...My T-Zone needed to be blotted every 10 minutes and at the end of the day, the BB cream had just vanished...
All in all, I would only recommend this to those of you who already have perfect skin and are just looking for a lightly tinted cream to use during the summer time. I will most definitely not be repurchasing this item ever again but if you're still interested in trying it out, I would highly suggest getting a sample first ;)
